Elisabeth Hesse, Author
Born in 1960 in Arnhem, the Netherlands, Elisabeth Hesse moved to the United States at age seven. The inspiration for this book stems from a collection of memories from her maternal grandmother’s haunting stories of the holocaust. Those stories created a restlessness in her heart for meaning and understanding of human suffering, especially those most vulnerable of all human beings—our children.
Elisabeth has three grown daughters, including a set of identical twins, and four grandchildren. She is a registered nurse and resides in Michigan. Final Refuge is Elisabeth’s first novel.
